  Big Questions

  big questionslook at the entire history of humanity on earth and ask:"what is it people really want?

  "on the flip side: "what is it which keeps holding us back?

  "______no matter how bad or good our life is at any one moment we can imagine a better life.we can imagine a place "over there" greener, more beautiful, with rivers of purest water; a land of milk and honey.but wait--before you turn away with a yawn.... one more thing.. that gap--that space--between here and there, demands of us an irresistible passion to cross over.. we seek: a better life.. we find a "bridge" to buy which promises us a guarantee: whether it is god or utopia or diet and meditation--we each, in our own way, find: the answer.. the lowest form of human consciousness?.

  What Do You Think of The News Media?

  i used to pretty much believe anything they would report.

  now, though, i find myself questioning “journalists “, with the realization that much of what is said may be inaccurate or slanted..

  is your retreat .

  an actual location, or simply a quiet place in your mind?.

  i attended a concert on sunday, a featured piece having been commissioned by a composer who lives in the city but retreats to an island in the puget sound (usa) to write his music.

  Which Things Did Your Overzealous Parents Ban?

  we all know the gb like to impose rules upon the rules... but did anyone else out there have parents that implemented rules upon those rules?

  mine did.

  my mum tended to copy whatever the elders wives were doing and took it to the extreme.

  I got all my harry Potter books thrown out. Also no cartoons or even school sports. Among many others.

  JW gatherings

  one of the things i don’t like about witness gatherings is the way everything you have to do or say has to be witness related.

  the songs played at a party couldn’t be played if the lyrical content was “worldly”, and also hearing the same phrases.

  a conversation about something in the news and someone will say “well, we’re living in the last days” or “we’re in this wicked system of things, everything is horrible”.
